Finishing Compounds
Buffing and Polishing Compounds
Our products known as "MOCO Compounds" are recognized as the best for finishing Metals, Plastics, Wood and Glass.
"MOCO Compounds" are used in diverse applications in the: Metal Fabricating, Electronics, Fiber Optics, Semi-Conductor, Wood Working, Cutlery, Automotive, Jewelry, Aerospace and Firearms industries.
VIBRATORY FINISHING COMPOUNDS
BURNISHING

MOCO BURNISHING COMPOUNDS are formulated to supply the proper chemical environment for the development of high lustre finishes and smoother surfaces. All MOCO BURNISHING COMPOUNDS provide lubrication, soften water, suspend soils, improve rinsing and impart a corrosion protective film on work pieces. All are biodegradable.

Number Consistency Sudsing pH Color Concentration
2 Granular powder Moderate sudsing Slightly alkaline Light yellow-white color Concentration: 1-2 oz. per gallon of water.
Very effective for cleaning dirty parts. Useful for prolonged abrasive media burnishing cycles and steel "shot" media burnishing. Superior rust inhibition on iron and steel parts.

10 Granular powder High heavy sudsing Nearly neutral Off white color Concentration: 1-2 oz. per gallon of water.
Universal burnishing compound for all types of abrasive or steel media. Chemical additives are incorporated to overcome sub-averge water conditions, to permit development of high lustre and unusually smooth surfaces, and to promote free rinsing.

11 Fine powder Dense sudsing Nearly neutral White color Concentration: 1-2 oz. per gallon of water.
Highly concentrated compound designed and especially recommended for steel "shot" burnishing of non-ferrous and stainless steel parts. It is also an excellent abrasive media burnishing material. Dense suds provide maximum of heavy parts to avoid impingement. Excellent for "flow through" vibrating machines. Rinses easily and completely.

12 Granular powder High sudsing Slightly alkaline Light yellow-white color Concentration: 1-2 oz. per gallon of water.
A concentrated compound designed particularly to develop a clear lustrous finish on "difficult to color" steel surfaces such as low carbon and magnetic steel types.

14 Clear liquid concentrate High thin sudsing Slightly alkaline White color Concentration: 1-4 oz. per gallon of water.
Designed especially for abrasive media burnishing of non-ferrous metals and non-magnetic stainless steel. Parts retain "true metal" color even in extended runs. Cold water rinses will leave completely clean surface. Because of limited cleaning strength it does not deliver maximum results if parts are oily. Doubles as an excellent grinding compound for deburring and surface finishing. Will minimize "curd" or "sludge" formed by the breakdown of plastic media. Ideal for "flow through" vibrating machines.

15 Clear liquid concentrate High thin sudsing Neutral Dark amber color Concentration: 1-4 oz. per gallon of water.

16 Clear liquid concentrate High thin sudsing Slightly alkaline Amber color Concentration: 1-4 oz. per gallon of water.
Primarily used on materials as recommended for No.12.

We welcome the opportunity to consult with you regarding your particular problems and requirements and enable you to choose a buffing compound or polishing compound to suit your requirements. We are equipped to explore methods employing buffing and polishing wheels: abrasive belts: tumbling, dry, wet and submerged: and dry blasting, so that complete consideration of problems in these fields is available and our customers in turn recieve polishing compounds or buffing compounds to match their specifications. We solicit your inquiries.

If you need any assistance with an application or product, fill out our Technical Assistance Form. We will reply as soon as possible.
